Natalie Ayliffe

Florida State.  Whether you love the Seminoles or hate them, you have to admit that they have some pretty amazing athletes.  Did you know that our church is the home of one of their stellar athletes?  Meet Mrs. Natalie Hughes Ayliffe.

Natalie has been a member of Eastminster since the Spring of 2008 when she began attending with her boyfriend, Jonathan Ayliffe, who is now her husband.
Jonathan and Natalie are the proud parents of Kaitlyn and the yet to be named Baby Ayliffe.

Although Natalie is featured prominently in the annals of Florida State track and field, her most illustrious award in her life came when she won the Eastminster Pumpkin Pie baking contest at our Fall Festival.  People nation wide are still talking about her pie.

Some of her lesser known accolades from her collegiate career include:

Seven time All American (cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track)

FSU All American

FSU All American

Ten time All Atlantic Coast Conference (indoor track and outdoor track)

Four time All NCAA South Region honoree in cross country

Upon her graduation at FSU, she held the school records in the mile run and the 1500 meter run.

Her high school accolades include being the State Champion in cross country in 1997, 1999, and 2000.  In all, she won 13 Colorado High School state titles
in both cross country and track.  She was also named Varsity Online Athlete of the Year, Who’s Who in Sports, and Schoolsports.com Greater Denver Girls
Cross Country Player of the Year.  Whew!!

After earning her degree at Florida State, Natalie moved to Knoxville and began a career in Education, teaching at both South Doyle Middle School and Holston Middle School.  In 2013, Natalie began working as a paralegal for a local attorney.

Natalie’s favorite hobby these days is sneaking in a nap whenever her busy schedule will allow, and planning a vacation to some place warm.

When asked if she had any talents or abilities that our church people don’t know about, she answered, “I should be a thumb model!”  Thumb model??
You will have to ask her about that one!

She's still got it!

She’s still got it!
